My concept of "hot" and "cold" is different from you, you silly old people!!! Stop judging!

I was on the bus today, on the way to school for my erhu lessons, when I passed under the elevated train for Zhongshan Park station. There are a lot of street vendors in this area, and one of them caught my eye: This guy raised this HUGE mallet over his head and slammed it down into his super tiny metal cart. It was one of those mallets that you see in carnivals and fairs, where you bring it down on the target as hard as possible. Except I think this mallet was hitting some dough for pancakes. For you to eat. A huge metal mallet coming down on a small piece of dough atop a rickety, metal cart... oh yeah...

I met my first subway performer today. He was sitting by Exit 5 of the Line 2 station in Zhongshan Park. He had his guitar out and was strumming some melody. Chinese guy by the way; he was singing the words "OH BABY...OH BABYYYY" in English. Good English - but I fear those may be the only lines of his song...
