Shanghai World Financial Center

The Shanghai World Financial Center is the tallest building in all of Asia. 100 stories up, and opened only in January 2009. It's amazing to be up there. The only downer is the fact that because of all the smog in Shanghai, it's really hard to see anything from up there. You can see the major buildings and stuff, but other stuff, you can't. It's next to what used to be the tallest building in Shanghai/Asia - the Jin Mao building. And now, they're breaking ground to build another building near these two - probably even taller than SWFC. It would create a small triangle and a triumvirate of the tallest buildings in Asia, and possibly even the world! The top looks sort of like a bottle cap opener, with a square hole.

This is just an online image. The one I took is on the right - you can see the shadow of the Jin Mao building on the glass windows of SWFC

This is the view from the top. The one closer is the Jin Mao building, and very faintly you can see the Oriental Pearl Tower in the distance.

At the Sky Walk, you can walk across and there are glass windows on the bottom so you can look down. Kinda freaky but really cool!

Gloria looks freaked out and a little scared...heheheeh! just caught her at the right moment...

SWFC lit up at night.
